Batteries Plus in Oshkosh, WI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and back up the Store Manager. You will be trained and certified to perform technical repairs on cell phones, tablets, and key fobs, and you will lead by example to ensure a smooth store experience.

The role requires strong communication, a minimum of 1 year retail experience, and a professional, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of retail experience.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• High level of professionalism and teamwork.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic math and cash register operation skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of Batteries Plus products and services.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage customers as they enter the store.
• Assess needs and recommend products and services.
• Provide sales guidance on promotions, warranties, and upselling.
• Operate cash registers and process payments accurately.
• Load, unload, and arrange products for customers.
• Build displays and set up or take down fixtures and shelves.
• Assist with battery rebuilds and technical services as assigned.
• Repair smartphone/tablet components and replace screens/batteries.
• Cut keys and reprogram key fob remotes.
• Clean and restock the store before opening and after closing.
• Maintain store safety, appearance, and cleanliness.
• Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager's absence.
• Follow safety rules and wear proper PPE.
