Job summary

Dollar Tree in Clarksville, Indiana is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, service customers, and develop the team. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandising, and help manage payroll and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in merchandising and stock organization and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and ensure compliance with store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and ensure safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
