Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Valrico, FL location. You will assist with daily store activities, help organize merchandise, and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.

Responsibilities include supervising store associates, opening/closing duties, and upholding company policies. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential in this high-energy, team-oriented role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive, approachable manner.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged items, and handle record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain organized stockrooms and well-stocked sales floors to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
