Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the team in Wilkesboro, NC. You will assist with daily tasks, merchandise handling, leadership duties, and adherence to company policies in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proactive approach to loss prevention and safety. Part-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Read, interpret and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of store including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
