Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Quincy, FL to help oversee daily store operations and customer service. You will work with the Store Manager to train and develop associates, maintain inventory, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organization and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and store communications as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged goods; record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas to company standards.
• Protect assets including cash and store security.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing associates.
