Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Avon Park, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction while leading store associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stock areas and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean and stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards
• Protect store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and general neatness
• Other duties as assigned
