Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Indian Land, SC to support the Store Manager with daily operations, staff leadership, and customer service excellence. You will be knowledgeable across product areas and uphold company standards in all manuals.

You will supervise in the Manager's absence, assist with recruiting, training, merchandising, and inventory control, and drive profitability while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Team player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Serve as acting manager in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Lead staff and ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain high-quality customer service and assist customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
