Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Salem, OR location to help oversee daily store operations and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will support the Store Manager, supervise and develop store associates, and ensure merchandise is organized, priced, and displayed effectively. The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail or grocery management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain displays and promotional fixtures; ensure store is clean and organized.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing store associates.
• Maintain safe, respectful environment; ensure compliance with policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
