Job summary

Dollar Tree in Webster City, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and help with opening and closing procedures.

You will assist in payroll, scheduling, loss prevention, and training Store Associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store. Part time role with opportunities to grow in a dynamic discount retailer environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and shelves
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store standards
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment
