Job summary

Dollar Tree in Hudson, NH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist in merchandise planning, training Store Associates, ensuring a safe, clean environment, and upholding company policies while delivering friendly service to customers.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, maintaining displays, supporting payroll and scheduling, and protecting store assets in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store policies for inventory, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain attractive displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records, and loss prevention.
• Keep the sales floor and stockroom well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure security procedures are followed.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; maintain a positive, safe work environment.
