Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Tallassee, Alabama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well organized on the floor.

You will train and supervise Store Associates, help with scheduling and cash handling, and maintain clean, safe store conditions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform related physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged goods.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets and ensure policy adherence.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.
