Dollar Tree Stores in Monroeville, AL seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and reading/interpretation of directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Team-based work ability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies; ensure staff follows procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Promote a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, and trash routines.
• Other duties as assigned.
