Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager at our Floresville, TX location. You will assist the Store Manager with daily store operations, merchandising, and customer service, while leading the team in the manager's absence.

You will build product knowledge across departments, uphold company policies, and drive store profitability while delivering outstanding service to customers during peak periods and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish actions for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Coordinate with the Store Manager on action plans for store responsibilities and goals.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments when needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales stats, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department duties and standards are completed.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure exceptional customer service per the customer service manual.
