General Description, Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual sales statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisals of sales performance; support associates by giving constructive feedback on strengths and areas for improvement, aligned with Company Objectives.
- Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets following LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage within wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting product counts, following policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and legal standards.
- Open and close the store as required, following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
- Support and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Participate in training programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and conduct regular follow-ups.
- Assist in recruiting and training staff on store operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with company policies, including inventory and asset security.
- Perform the work of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
