Job Description

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

• Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
• Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics.
• Provide consistent appraisal of associate sales performance and give feedback on strengths and opportunities.
• Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.

Control Expenses

• Protect company assets in line with LIDS Retail policies.
• Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage while adhering to wage control guidelines.
• Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and conducting product counts.
• Perform proper documentation and record-keeping per LIDS Retail policies and applicable laws.
• Open and close the store as required, following procedures per the Operations P&P Manual.
• Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in LIDS Training Programs and adhere to set goals for sales and tasks.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Encourage compliance with established company policies, including safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property.
• Perform subordinate work as needed.
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Ability to operate a computer and related software programs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder while working overhead.
• Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

High School Graduate or Equivalent

The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager.
