Job summary

Family Dollar in Laurel, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and customer service. You will help train and develop Store Associates, manage shifts, and ensure merchandise is organized and stocked to company standards.

In this role you will handle opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling records, and uphold safety and loss-prevention practices while delivering a friendly, efficient shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
