Family Dollar Stores Of Arkansas LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, help customers, and develop team members in a busy retail environment. You will assist with merchandising, inventory, cash handling and loss prevention, while ensuring high standards of customer service and store presentation.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and collaboration with the Store Manager to drive store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist with adherence to directives, compliance, and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays effectively.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
