Job summary

Family Dollar in Hemingway, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, supervise sales associates, maintain shelves, and ensure safety policies while delivering friendly service. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment preferred.
• Strong reading and interpretation of operational directives.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
