Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Aliceville, AL. The role focuses on assisting with store operations, customer service, and team development while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver exceptional customer service
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
