Job summary

NAPA West Columbia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to blend automotive know‑how with customer service and store operations. You will support the Store Manager across all functions, while maintaining active customer-facing sales responsibilities and coaching staff.

You will oversee opening/closing routines, inventory health, scheduling, and basic P&L awareness, aiming to boost sales, store efficiency, safety, and asset protection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical courses preferred.
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket service industry or willingness to learn.
• Leadership experience managing teams.
• Excellent customer care and relationship building.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, complex environment and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, labor/scheduling alignment, and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Model behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Oversee opening and closing routines and cash reconciliation.
• Handle or support scheduling input, compliance, and performance reporting.
• Monitor store metrics and drive problem solving for improvements.
