Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Anderson, IN. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret directives (e.g., merchandise schematics).
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Support customers with positive service and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications.
• Maintain store displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets and cash.
• Enforce policies and safety guidelines; supervise and develop store associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean: bathrooms, floors, trash, neat areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
