Job summary

Maverik is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (Operations) to lead store teams and drive exceptional customer experiences. Starting pay ranges from $17.95 to $19.95 per hour, with opportunities for career advancement in a fast-paced, 24/7 retail environment.

Role requires 21+ years old, strong communication, and the ability to manage operations, train staff, and ensure safety. ServeSafe certification is preferred or may be obtained after joining the team.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work a 24/7 schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members and customers.
• Remain calm and composed under pressure while delivering excellent customer service.
• Solid problem-solving ability with the capacity to recognize issues and create effective solutions.
• 1 year+ supervisory experience preferred, with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and oversee all tasks and duties of team members.
• Assist with training, mentoring, and supervision of staff.
• Assist in facility safety inspections and equipment upkeep.
• Complete general reporting and bookkeeping responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

• This position involves frequent standing, walking, handling, and horizontal reaching. It also requires reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, as well as activities such as bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. The role may involve lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
