Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to work with the GM in delivering best-in-class customer service in our retail store operations. The ASM will oversee a portion of store operations, driving sales and profitability through merchandising, inventory control, staffing, safety, and expense management, while acting as key-holder in the GM's absence.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in retail operations.
• At least 1 year in supervisory or lead role.
• Experience in a nursery, landscaping, or related environment preferred.
• Strong management skills with a basic understanding of HR and sales fundamentals.
• Excellent customer relation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a full-service retail nursery operation (Store).
• Owning assigned Operations or Customer Service duties and responsibilities.
• Ensure outstanding service by providing a safe, clean, friendly environment with high standards.
• Train and develop store management and staff; monitor training and development.
• Control loss, expenses, payroll and turnover; manage merchandising and inventory.
