Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries in Chandler, AZ seeks an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the GM, leading daily store operations and customer service in a fast-paced nursery retail environment.

You will supervise staff, manage merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention, and drive sales while maintaining high safety and service standards. This role requires 2+ years retail ops experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in retail operations.
• 1+ year in supervisory or lead role.
• Experience in retail, nursery, landscaping, or related environment preferred.
• Solid management skills with basic HR and sales understanding.
• Knowledge of sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, and marketing.
• Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a full-service MVN retail nursery operation (Store).
• Own assigned Operations or Customer Service duties and responsibilities.
• Ensure outstanding service in a safe, clean environment with strong product knowledge.
• Train and develop store management and staff; lead meetings and audits.
• Control loss, shrinkage, and payroll; manage expenses and turnover.
