National Coatings & Supplies, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Hampton, Virginia. You will assist with hiring, training and supervising staff, while directing daily store operations to optimize labor use and profitability.

You will maintain inventory accuracy, enforce policies for regulatory compliance, monitor pricing, and manage customer relationships in a fast-paced retail environment. The role offers a collaborative team setting with clear growth potential.

Qualifications

• Supervise store staff including hiring, orientation, training, motivating and disciplining.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with diverse customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Office, Excel, Word).
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills; teamwork oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, orienting, training, supervising, evaluating, motivating, communicating with, leading and disciplining all employees in store.
• Plan, direct and schedule employee work to optimize labor and profitability.
• Maintain inventory control and direct inventory taking to optimize cash flow.
• Enforce policies to ensure compliance with laws, DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Monitor pricing to maintain gross-margin controls.
• Perform administrative duties and maintain relationships with key customers.
