SmartStop Self Storage in Houston, TX is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (Store #6150) with no night shifts. The role involves leasing storage, supervising staff, handling tenant relations, and overseeing on-site projects during daytime hours.

Hours are Mon-Fri 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, Sat 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Sun 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Starting pay $16.50/hour plus bonus; comprehensive benefits include health insurance, PTO, 401(k) matching, and other employee programs.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and ability to sell all storage solutions.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude.
• Position requires a background check.

Responsibilities

• Rent storage units and prepare rental agreements.
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities.
• Light maintenance and maintaining curb appeal of the property.

Assistant Store Manager (Store #6150, Houston, TX) Job Summary - NO NIGHTS!

The right candidate pays attention to detail, stays organized, and delights in finding great solutions to problems. This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including leasing storage and parking, managing a team, assisting with maintenance, supervising on-site projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 9:30 am to 6:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am - 4:00 pm; Sun 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Starting at $16.50/hour + Bonus

What You'll Do:

• Rent storage units
• Prepare rental agreements
• Handle monetary transactions and banking activities
• Cleaning of vacated units and general cleaning of the property
• Promotes and sells self-storage solutions to potential customers
• Light maintenance
• Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services
• Maintain general curb appeal
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License, and current auto insurance
• The position requires a background check
• Other duties as assigned by the Company
