Assistant Store Manager - Night Operations

Position Purpose

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They support the Store Manager in developing strategies to drive sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise customer service efforts, ensuring the store's in-stock position and organized appearance, including staffing, resolving stock issues, and handling customer concerns.
• Manage store associates through interviewing, hiring, coaching, training, and performance reviews, including disciplinary processes.
• Oversee operations such as sales transactions, merchandise receiving, and maintaining store equipment and safety compliance.
• Drive department profitability by analyzing sales trends, planning merchandise placement, and supporting inventory management.

Reporting and Travel

Report to a Store Manager; will gradually assume supervision of associates. Typically requires less than 10% overnight travel.

Physical and Working Conditions

Primarily seated with occasional movement; located indoors with infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required; 3 years of work experience preferred.
