Position Purpose

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the responsibilities of roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They support the Store Manager in developing strategies to drive sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise customer service initiatives, ensure store appearance, staffing, stock management, and resolve customer issues.
• Manage store associates, including hiring, coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Oversee operations such as sales transactions, merchandise receiving, and equipment maintenance, ensuring safety compliance.
• Drive business analysis and merchandise planning, working with key partners to optimize sales and inventory management.

Reporting and Travel

Report to a Store Manager. Travel is typically less than 10% overnight.

Physical and Working Conditions

Mostly sitting with occasional movement; work located indoors with infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18, authorized to work in the U.S., high school diploma or GED, and 3 years of work experience.
