Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations

Position Purpose

The Night Operations Assistant Store Manager in Training (NOASM-IT) will gain hands-on experience in key responsibilities and functions of a Night Operations Assistant Store Manager at The Home Depot. The program includes mentorship, leadership development, and practical training, focusing on overseeing overnight freight operations, collaborating with managers, and developing strategies to enhance sales and store performance. The training period lasts up to 6 weeks, during which trainees will learn to execute core responsibilities and uphold company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience (10%): Supervise associates, drive customer service, and resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Operations Management (15%): Perform store opening/closing, ensure SOP adherence, safety compliance, and inventory accuracy.
  • Safety (15%): Enforce safety and hazmat procedures among associates.
  • Sales and Productivity (10%): Support merchandise placement, signing, stock management, and equipment operation.
  • Training and Preparation (50%): Participate in structured training covering store management, including staffing, stock management, performance review, and disciplinary procedures.
Reporting and Travel
  • Reports to Store Manager
  • Overnight travel less than 5%
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Requires physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting.
  • Indoor environment with occasional mild discomfort.
