Foot Locker in Atlanta is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy, ownership, and purpose. You’ll support the Store Manager, drive sales, coach the team, and ensure the store runs smoothly day to day.

You’ll move with urgency, engage customers, mentor associates, and manage daily operations, safety procedures, and store standards. This role offers growth as part of a dynamic, community-focused footwear retailer.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions.
• Coach the team to deliver great service and share product knowledge.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and closing the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Keep the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers and product.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing leadership and direction.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates and close performance gaps, stepping in as needed.
• Leverage retail tech to enhance customer experience and store operations.
