Foot Locker is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Cherry Hill, NJ to lead with energy and purpose while supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and coaching the team.

You'll manage daily store operations, ensure a great customer experience, and foster a high-performing staff through hands-on leadership, effective communication, and a relentless focus on standards and results.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail leadership or key-holder experience.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with an “Always on, Never no” mindset; bringing energy, confidence, and solutions to every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping the team close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Move with purpose by keeping the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers, teammates, and product.
• Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues and owning store execution.
• Leverage retail technology to enhance the customer experience and support efficient operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing confident leadership and clear direction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates in real time, recognizing wins and closing performance gaps.
