Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Baltimore, MD to support store operations and drive sales growth. You will report to the store manager and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service while controlling expenses and upholding ALDI values.

The role requires strong leadership, communication skills and a focus on developing personnel. This is a full-time position with a typical 38-hour week and starting wage of $26.50 per hour, with a wage increase to $27.50 in year two.

• Ability to work both independently and within a team to provide effective leadership of store personnel and achieve planned results.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete activities to maximize the total time available.

Responsibilities

• Oversees resolution of employee and customer concerns in coordination with the store manager.
• Leads and develops store personnel and communicates responsibilities and expectations.
• Assists in developing and implementing action plans to improve operations and personnel development.
• Leads store tours during interviews and provides hiring recommendations.
• Trains and develops staff using company training materials.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and safe working environment.
• Stock shelves and manage merchandising per planograms; operate POS system.
