Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Greenwood, SC to support daily store operations and lead a retail team. You will work with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain customer experience, and handle staffing and onboarding of associates.

The role emphasizes people leadership, hiring and training, and ensuring compliance with company policies while delivering a safe, organized, and attractive store environment. Flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and service standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver customer service.
• Assist with inventory control and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, and cash handling.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding and training.
• Maintain staffing levels by supporting recruiting and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and enforce policies.
• Support merchandising, operational and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.
