Job summary

Jimmy John's in Buford, GA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily store operations, drive sales, ensure excellent customer service, and uphold food safety and quality standards.

The role requires leadership in the General Manager's absence, coaching a team of about 20, and serving as a role model for staff. Must be 18+, with strong communication and math skills and basic PC experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have good communication skills, both with customers as well as staff.
• Needs strong math ability, particularly in addition, subtraction, fractions and percentages.
• Experience with basic usage of a personal computer.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Valid Driver's License and Insurance.
• Reliable Transportation.
• Some restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing a staff of approximately 20 employees, including hiring, training, evaluating and discipline.
• Forecasts daily usage of food items per shift, which requires some fundamental math skills.
• Performs daily duties, including slicing meats, prepping veggies and baking bread.
• Implement and audit Jimmy John's policies, systems and procedures.
• Completes necessary paperwork on a daily, weekly and periodic basis.
• Manages cash drawers, bank deposits and change.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities.
• Oversees and assists in providing great customer service to all.
