Job summary

Aéropostale is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving sales goals in a fast-paced retailer. You will train and develop a high-performing team while maintaining store standards and brand presentation.

You’ll lead by example, manage shifting priorities, and ensure operations, merchandising, and staff development align with company goals. This role emphasizes urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Co/Assistant Manager in a similar volume apparel business.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistics.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Occasional travel to other store locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to create action plans to grow the business.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty.
• Develop team members who deliver a great customer experience.
• Oversee division of responsibility and be accountable for results.
• Support store standards for merchandising and operations.
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business.
• Remain composed in challenges and execute management functions when needed.
