Job summary

Aéropostale is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will help execute store operations, drive sales, and maintain a visually appealing store environment.

You will partner with the Store Manager to develop talent, manage daily operations, and ensure standards across merchandising and service. This role requires a flexible schedule and a focus on teamwork, urgency, and results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Co/Assistant Manager in similar volume apparel retail
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and KPIs
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
• May require occasional travel to other store locations

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans to achieve results and grow the business
• Understand and demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools
• Develop team members who are committed to delivering a great customer experience
• Oversee assigned division of responsibility and be accountable for results
• Support the Store Manager to maintain store merchandising and operations standards
• Learn all aspects of the business and share ideas to drive the business
• Remain composed under pressure and adapt to changes
• Perform POS transactions on designated shifts and manage tasks in the Store Manager's absence
