Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of South Carolina LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and supervise associates to maintain a clean, secure and welcoming environment.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication skills, and experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention tasks.
• Train and develop Store Associates; supervise as needed.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
