Job summary

Dollar Tree in Park Rapids, MN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a strong team.

You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, and implementing company directives while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and associates.

This part-time position offers opportunities for growth and hands-on leadership in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and overall store upkeep.
• Other duties as assigned.
