Famous Footwear in Illinois is seeking a hands-on Assistant Store Manager who can lead the team and drive sales. You will act as the store leader in the manager's absence, coaching staff, and ensuring excellent customer experiences across our footwear brands.

You love shoes, stay on trend, and educate the team to present products confidently. You’ll foster a culture of care, integrity, and accountability while maintaining store standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, retail preferred.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and training team members.

Responsibilities

• Inspire associates with integrity and drive to deliver customer relationships, operations, and flawless service.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to interview and hire passionate associates.
• Manage staffing levels, pricing, shipping, inventory, and store standards for smooth operations.
• Drive sales with a results-focused mindset and apply store insights to improve performance.
• Build a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and engagement across the team.
• Step in for the Store Manager when needed and develop leadership capacity within the team.
