Job summary

Family Dollar in Ronan, MT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily activities, organize merchandise, and supervise associates to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proven track record in retail or grocery management. This position is part-time with opportunities for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in store management preferred in retail, grocery, or drugstore.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll and cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Keep stockroom and sales floor well-organized and stocked.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
