Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the team to deliver friendly, efficient service.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and implementing corporate directives while maintaining store standards and assets. This part-time role in Oxford, North Carolina requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret operational directives and merchandising schematics.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise; maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain tidy store areas and stocked stockroom per standards.
• Protect assets, including store cash.
• Ensure safety and policy compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise and train Store Associates.
• Pursue a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean; clean/restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, remove trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
