Job summary

Caleres, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the team in delivering an exceptional shoe-store experience for all customers. You will motivate staff, manage daily operations and help grow sales while upholding brand standards across Famous Footwear, Naturalizer, Sam Edelman, and Allen Edmonds.

You will train and develop associates, ensure flawless customer engagement, and step in for the Store Manager as needed to keep the store running smoothly and profitably.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably retail.
• Experience hiring, interviewing, and training associates.
• Strong communication and coaching skills for a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customer connections and coach selling behaviors.
• Lead talent discovery and collaborate with Store Manager on staffing and hires.
• Oversee retail operations, pricing, shipping, inventory and store standards.
• Drive location performance by applying insights to improve results.
• Support a diverse, inclusive culture and lead by example.
• Act as Store Manager’s right hand when needed.
