Family Dollar in Marion, IN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role includes opening/closing procedures, merchandise movement, and loss prevention to maintain a high-performing store.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with prior retail or grocery experience preferred and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment
• Other duties as assigned
