Job summary

Family Dollar in Lisbon, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, elevate customer service, and develop the sales team. You will supervise associates, coach performance, and ensure store standards are maintained to drive sales and shrink control.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced retail environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage opening/closing tasks, inventories, and merchandising.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives is required.
• Retail/store management experience preferred in grocery or similar environment.
• Ability to lift and perform physical tasks as part of store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Support customers in a positive, approachable manner and resolve questions.
• Help organize and move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
