Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Texas LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in San Antonio. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, merchandising, opening/closing, and enforcing policies with a focus on a safe, friendly customer experience.

The position requires a high school diploma (preferred), prior retail/ supermarket management experience, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Ensure store areas are well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Lead, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
