Job summary

Caleres is seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager in Anchorage to lead daily store operations in the Store Manager’s absence. You will coach a team, focus on customer relationships, and ensure the store presents our brands at their best.

You’ll manage staffing, merchandising, and inventory while delivering the Famous Footwear experience. A High School diploma and retail sales experience help you excel in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training is preferred.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with store Associates.

Responsibilities

• Inspire customer connections with integrity and care to drive relationships and sales.
• Partner with Store Manager to interview and hire staff passionate about service.
• Oversee daily operations including pricing, shipping, and inventory to support sales goals.
• Use insights to improve location performance and achieve targets.
• Build an inclusive culture and lead by example to boost retention.
