Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager in Anchorage to lead the store in the Store Manager's absence. You will motivate a team, sharpen selling skills, and ensure a memorable customer experience that aligns with our famous standards.

You will help manage daily operations, staffing, and education initiatives, while driving sales and maintaining brand presentation. This role rewards leadership, flexibility, and a passion for shoes.

Qualifications

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop Associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager, as needed.
• Demonstrates strong cognitive skills, including problem solving analysis, decision making, and financial and quantitative analysis.
• Has advanced working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Can work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Has basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the Customer Connection and coach selling behaviors.
• Champion Talent Discovery and assist with interviewing and hiring.
• Oversee Retail Operations and staffing levels with the Store Manager.
• Leverage insights to drive location performance and sales.
• Build a positive culture emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
• Serve as Store Manager’s right hand when the manager is away.
