Job summary

Dollar Tree in Cedar Rapids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service and team development. You will help manage daily activities and lead associates to deliver excellent service.

The role requires leadership in a fast-paced retail environment and a focus on operations, merchandising, and staff development. Part-time hours are available with opportunities for growth at Dollar Tree.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
