Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Waukegan, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities to help ensure a well-run, welcoming environment for shoppers.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise, opening and closing procedures, processing directives, improving fixtures, handling payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and coaching Store Associates.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience preferred in retail, grocery, or drug store.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
