Job summary

Family Dollar in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help organize merchandise, supervise associates, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

A high school diploma is preferred; strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required. You must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a high-energy, team environment while maintaining a safe, friendly store

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
